Why Sponsor?

The Ignite High Desert event and audience is a reflection of our vibrant community. Every event allows you to experience talks that educate, inspire, motivate, and entertain. You’ll be introduced to new ideas and perspectives, all presented by members of the High Desert community. The audience is diverse, but share a common love for community, innovation and ideas.

Sponsorship Levels & Benefits

To allow for companies of all sizes to contribute to Ignite High Desert events, there are three levels of sponsorship. Within each level, there is often an opportunity to sponsor with a cash donation or through in-kind support. Because sponsorship is so much more than just a donation, Ignite High Desert offers fantastic perks to sponsors at every level:

  • Logo placement as sponsor on printed Ignite program
  • Logo placement on Ignite High Desert website
  • Gift bag option: Donate promotional items for gift bags given to each attendee (highly encouraged)
  • Online logo placement as a sponsor
  • Logo displayed played throughout the event on a slide show
  • Logo placement on printed program
  • Display table as a promotional sponsor
  • Gift bag option: Donate promotional items for gift bags given to each attendee (highly encouraged)
  • Online logo placement as flame sponsor with URL attachment to sponsor website

In your video, anything goes! In fact, we encourage you to produce a creative, high-energy video that keeps up with the rapid-fire pace of the event. The only restriction is keeping the video PG-rated, as it’s an event open to all ages.

Passion. Everyone has at least one!

It’s that something that excites you, fires you up, widens your eyes, makes you talk a little faster, and gives you that rush of empowerment. What’s yours? We want to hear it!

Ignite High Desert provides the platform to share these life-shaping experiences, passions, and unique perspectives. Whatever your topic is (as long as it’s PG-13 or lower and not a sales pitch), share it with us in a submission below.

Speaker requirements

Each selected speaker will need to do the following:

  • Speak about your topic for five minutes in front of a crowd
  • Create a 20-slide presentation to support your talk
  • Attend a 2-hour presenter training session before the event
  • Arrive at the event a few hours before showtime (typically around 4:00 or 4:30 p.m.)
  • Avoid pitching or advertising for a product or business (including your own)
  • Allow your submission, presentation, and a video of your talk to be posted online (your email address and phone number will be kept private)

Deadline to apply

Submissions are open now and will close on January 31, 2017. All applicants will be notified of the committee’s selections by February 13, 2017.

Then you really need to become a sponsor! Sorry, no sales pitches for speakers.                                                
Ignite is run completely by volunteers like you! You can join a committee or just volunteer the day of the event. Contact us at info@ignitehighdesert.com to get involved today.  
Absolutely not! You just have to be willing to put in the time to create a presentation and be rehearsed.  
Nope! It’s important that we maintain a level of purity in the content, meaning the selection process is not hindered by the almighty dollar. Trust us, this will create an event that people want to attend again and again, and that’s better for your brand anyway.  
Unfortunately, no. We believe in a separation of “church and state,” so the talks will be 100% selected by our committee and based on content. You do have the opportunity to tell your story through video, which kicks off the event. For more information, see our Speaker page and Sponsor page.  
Nope! No theme, no restrictions and no limits. You finally found a platform for your hobbies in underwater basket weaving and Civil War stamp collecting. Let your passion shine through. Just keep it PG-13.  
While TED Talks tend to feature experts in different fields of study, Ignite showcases your neighbors, your peers, and members of your community sharing their passions, stories and ideas. In addition, the format for Ignite is the same for everyone: 5 minutes, 20 slides advancing every 15 seconds.

Ignite High Desert is run 100% by volunteers like you, so if you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Whatever your talents or skills may be, rest assured we can put them to good use. And don’t worry if you have limited time. There’s a job for everyone who would like to be involved!
As the saying goes, “It takes a whole village to raise a child,” and if you’ve ever put on a large event before, you know the same sentiment certainly applies. We may even need TWO whole villages! Our vision is for Ignite High Desert to grow into a landmark community event that occurs multiple times throughout the year – THE event people can’t wait to attend. But don’t misunderstand – this is not an ego-based desire. It’s just that Ignite events have impacted our lives in such a positive way that now we want to share that experience with as many people as possible.
